A NEW TSC Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development Portal: How to Build One
A tool for performance review is the Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development (TPAD 2). According to the criteria established by the Teachers Service Commission, TPAD 2 assesses a teacher’s performance.
The following requirements for the performance evaluation system are mandated, according to Section 52 of the Code of Regulation for Teachers (2015): –
The institution’s head will be in charge of evaluating teachers’ performance.
Utilize teacher promotion, deployment, and award reports from performance evaluations.
In the event of subpar performance, pinpoint your areas of weakness and your training requirements.
Create and regularly review performance guidelines and tools that can be found on the commission website.
The steps for setting up a new TPAD account are as follows:
- Visit https://tpad2.tsc.go.ke/auth/create_account to access the account creation portal,
- Fill in the fields required; TSC number, ID number, phone number (using the format 07xxxxxxxx), Personal Email Address, password, confirm password and mode of notification.
- Once complete, select ‘create’.
- Once successful, a SMS token will be sent to your phone within a short time.
- Key in the code sent through the SMS and select ‘Verify Token’. This is the last process when creating the TPAD account.
You must also enter your educational background and subject preferences. Here is how it works:
Include your biography, affiliations, and phone number.
Choose your subject combinations from the list after clicking “Subjects Combination,” then click “Submit.”
Choose “Level of Education” to add information. Choose your KCSE grade, highest education level, and institution of study before submitting your information.
