The 2023 school calendar, often known as the 2023 term dates, was issued by the ministry of education.
The schedule is applicable to all primary and secondary institutions.
According to this calendar, all schools reopened for the 2023 school year on January 23, 2023. The scheduled end date for Term One, which had a total duration of 13 weeks, was April 21, 2023.
2023 Term 2
On August 5, 2023, all schools reopened, and the term is scheduled to last 14 weeks.
The ministry calendar predicted that all schools would be out of session from June 29 to July 2 before closing from August 12 to August 27, 2023.
After the annual Headteachers meeting, the KESSHA Chair made a special request, and as a result, all schools will now be closed from June 27 through July 2, 2023, for term two half-term.
Learners will have a break of normal school ;4 Days plus 2 days ; weekend days totaling to a six day vacation.
The 2023 calendar underwent several revision of the term dates is in a bid to normalize the school calendar that was disrupted by the covid 19 pandemic.
