The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has made clear its stance about the departure of Dr. Nancy Njeri Macharia, the organization’s CEO.

Currently in her second term as secretary and chief executive officer (CEO), Dr. Macharia. She succeeded Gabriel Lengoibon in the job in 2015 after beating off 69 other candidates. She rose to the position of TSC’s first female CEO.
She will leave office in June 2025 since the then-President, Uhuru Kenyatta, extended her term in July 2020 for a another five years.
