KNEC Announces New Payment Rates for Professionals Under Contract
New payment methods have been implemented by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) for teachers who are enrolled with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) as of the year 2023. They are urged in the strongest possible terms to sign up for an account on the Contracted Professionals platform, sometimes known as CP2 for short.
During the administration of national tests, this platform, which is maintained by KNEC, plays an important role in the deployment of contracted professionals such as teachers, security guards, and drivers.
The teachers in nursery, primary, and secondary schools will each play an important part in the examinations that will take place this year. Once the examinations have been completed and the findings have been made public, KNEC will be able to more effectively deploy and reward these teachers because they have provided their information on CP2.
KNEC has announced that it is prepared to administer national exams to the approximately 2.3 million students who will be sitting for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) this academic year. To be more specific, there will be around 1,415,315 people who apply to take the KCPE exam, and there will be another 903,260 people who apply to take the KCSE exam.
In addition, the Chief Executive Officer of the KNEC, David Njengere, has made the announcement that preparations have begun for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), which will be taken by 1,282,574 children in Grade Six.
