NYAMBARIA KCSE STUDENTS CHASE AWAY EXAMS OFFICIALS OVER HARASSMENT
KCSE 2023 examination updates. On Tuesday, students from Nyambaria High School chased away exam administrators after accusing them of harassment and intimidation during the ongoing national examinations.
The Nyamira County school topped the 2022 KCSE shocking the country as parents and kids celebrated the achievement.
While the school claimed that the kids’ success was due to their hard work,

detractors claimed that the students were involved in exam irregularities without giving any evidence.
Charles Onyari, the principal of Nyambaria, was suspended last week due to test irregularities.
The nature of his involvement has not been revealed by the authorities.
Security officers were deployed as regional examination officers camped in the school to quiet the scene, according to Nyamira County sources.
Students taking the exams said that they were harassed by invigilators and other personnel assigned to monitor the exams because they were suspected of exam theft.

According to accounts, pupils claim they are exposed to intrusive searches as exam authorities seek evidence of cheating.
Exam irregularities have previously been a source of contention,
with authorities accusing teachers and exam officials of conspiring to swap papers with pupils.
Regional leaders have protested about the profiling of Nyambaria High School and other schools in the Kisii region during the exam season.
Exam results from various schools have already been canceled due to anomalies, requiring candidates to repeat classes.
