Business Exams Timetable and Instructions for November 2023
The schedule for the November Business Examinations in 2023 has been made public by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC). Instructions for the Candidates, Teachers, and Invigilators
Punctuality: For all sessions, candidates must arrive in the examination room five minutes prior to the start time, which is 8:00 a.m. Only those who can provide a good cause and who are not more than 30 minutes late will be allowed in, barring exceptional circumstances.
Verify the exam paper by: Candidates must notify the supervisor right once if they obtain an exam paper for which they are not registered or if there are problems with the questions.
Follow these instructions: Candidates are required to carefully adhere to the general instructions given at the start of each paper, including restrictions on the maximum number of questions that may be answered. On the first page of each response book, candidates should write their name, index number, and the title of the question.
Questions include: The question number should appear at the beginning of each response in the left-hand margin. There is no need to duplicate the question, and each response needs to be followed by a blank line.
Writing Supplies Candidates may use fountain pens, ballpoint pens, or ink in either black or blue. Only use pencils for diagrams. During the evaluation, handwriting and spelling will be taken into account.

Lack of communication: During the exam, it is completely forbidden for candidates to speak to one another or outsiders.
Illegal materials include: Candidates are not permitted to use any additional notes or data beyond the KNEC-provided mathematical tables. Slide rulers must abide by the rules.
Return Incorrect Papers: Incorrect exam papers should be handed back to the supervisor right away.
Tables of mathematics: There may be no additional notes and only KNEC-printed mathematical tables may be used. Slide rulers shouldn’t include formulas or information on them.

Conduct: Disruptive behavior close to the exam room is a significant violation.
Mobile devices: Mobile phones are categorically forbidden in testing facilities, and possession will result in the cancellation of results.

Candidates should be informed of the consequences for errors:
- Candidates who are found to have violated the rules will have their entire subject’s results invalidated and marked “Y.”
- Exam results for centers with significant anomalies will be annulled.
- People who engage in malpractice face penalties, such as jail and fines.
