Changes to the 2023 Term 3 Dates by the Ministry of Education

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) National Examinations in 2023 will take place before the third term, which has been keenly anticipated, is formally announced by the Ministry of Education (MoE).

Dr. Bellio Kipsang, the acclaimed principal secretary for basic education, has wisely distributed a key statement as of September 15. This statement has prepared the applicants for their upcoming national exams, which will mark a significant turning point in their scholastic careers and will start on the auspicious date of October 30, 2023.

Dr. Kipsang sincerely pleaded with parents and guardians to engage in careful planning methods for their kids in his wise advice. In addition, he emphasized the value of encouraging collaboration among committed teachers because doing so will unquestionably help students have a smooth exam period.

It’s important to remember that on August 28, 2023, the third term of the 2023 academic year officially began at all educational institutions. This term’s finish date of October 27 has been intelligently added to the calendar, thereby allowing for extra time for preparation before the start of the prestigious national test season.

The instruction that has been sent to all field authorities and institutional administrators is an important aspect of the official declaration. During this crucial Third Term, they have been charged with the urgent duty of canceling any school events that might otherwise entail the active engagement of parents and other stakeholders.

This order has been issued to guarantee that everyone is fully committed to making the meticulous preparations required in advance of the historic National Examinations, which are set to begin on October 30, 2023. Notably, Dr. Belio Kipsang spoke to an audience at the 39th Annual Conference for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA) and discussed these significant advances, highlighting the seriousness of these preparations on the national level.

Furthermore, the payment, a vital financial allocation frequently referred to as capitation funds, has been guaranteed to educational institutions. These resources are crucial to ensure the academic calendar is carried out exactly as planned.
