Finding of KCSE Leakage in 2022 from the Education Committee
The National Assembly Education Committee will meet with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Judiciary in order to examine the investigation into charges of cheating in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education tests in 2022.
The meeting will take place in order to discuss the inquiry.
The committee is currently investigating the allegations made by the complainants that the examinations were not reliable.
The Kenya National Examinations Council was accused by the committee, which was led by Julius Melley, of aggressively encouraging exam leaks, most notably during the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examinations that took place in the previous year.

The team from the House of Representatives found out that in order to keep their positions as the most prestigious academic institutions in the country, some schools are willing to pay as much as one million shillings to receive test leaks.
The committee also related instances of cheating to the pressure that head teachers were under from their employer, the Teachers Service Commission, to perform well in order to advance in their careers.

Ezekiel Machogu, the cabinet secretary for education, stated that the KCSE 2022 administration was honest and that the Ministry of Education had devised a lot of techniques to combat cheating.
He also stated that the Ministry of Education had developed a number of strategies to prevent plagiarism.
