In three installments, 50% is paid out for the first term, 30% for the second, and 20% for the third.
The second term’s additional estimates will take into account a Kes. The 5.7 million Needs, according to the national treasury.
When he testified before the Parliamentary Departmental Committee on Education and Research, Dr. Belio Kipsang, the Senior Secretary for the State Department for Basic Education, disclosed this. Julius Melly, a Tinderet Member of Parliament (MP), serves as the committee’s chairman.
Kipsang advised headteachers to quit charging unauthorized and excessive fees because doing so amounted to the worst kind of impunity.
The PS also reaffirmed the government’s intention to punish individuals who disregard the instruction.
According to him, the government’s 9.6 billion capitations for Grade 7 students in Junior Secondary Schools are an essential boost to the educational system.
Without having to pay any unauthorized or extra costs, learners will be able to acquire a decent education thanks to capitation. It is admirable that the government is committed to eliminating unauthorized fees in schools since it will provide parents a clear picture of their financial responsibilities for their children’s education.
No matter their socioeconomic status, children will receive a quality education if funding is allocated based on capitation per child.
