Joy at the deployment of P1 teachers with C plain to JSS

P1 teachers are transferred to JSS. They are all really happy because TSC is in the process of allocating all P1 teachers with degrees and diplomas to junior secondary schools. They are ready to aid in the change process. Also, they will help the numerous junior secondary kids who receive insufficient tutoring.

This group includes all instructors with certifications or degrees in Special Needs Education (SNE) – main option. However, the commission disqualified all applicants who had early childhood development education (ECDE) certificates.

You can also exhale with relief if you are a primary school teacher who received a C in your KCSE but went on to get qualifications and degrees. They will now be considered for transfer to junior secondary school, according to information from trusted commission sources.

After hearing this, the majority of P1 instructors will be able to exhale with relief. These educators were recently locked out during the recently finished deployment exercise by the Teachers Service Commission.

All P1 instructors with a C or higher and an advanced diploma or degree will soon have the opportunity to apply via a public call for applications from TSC. They will fill the junior secondary’s enormous gaps.

After unjustified pressure from the KNUT and DPTE teachers’ unions, TSC made the decision. They have been complaining about racism from the commission and being disregarded throughout the deployment exercise to junior secondary schools.

KNUT ISSUES A WARNING TO THE COMMISSION

The commission has been sharply cautioned by KNUT not to again treat the aforementioned instructors unfairly through its officers. The educators previously mentioned have significantly improved the educational system in this country. According to TSC, only grade C+ teachers are qualified to teach in junior secondary schools.

According to KNUT Secretary General Collins Oyuu, a number of P1 teachers have furthered their study to gain degrees and diplomas. In that case, they are qualified to teach at both junior high and high school. Oyuu said that “some of the teachers have degrees and diplomas and are highly qualified to teach in junior high school” when speaking to the media in Kisumu.

The entire removal of the C+ requirement was requested by the Secretary General. The several grade C plain tutors had sufficient college training, he added. The training enables them to work with 7th graders as a result.
