KDF announces 1,600 shortlisted candidates for cadet and tradesman positions

The list of applicants who most recently submitted an application for the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) online recruiting drive has been made public. This Friday’s release comprises a total of 1,606 candidates who are vying to join the force as either tradesmen or women or as specialized officers.

A wider group of 1,259 people are vying for the roles of tradesmen and women, while 347 of these candidates have been chosen to serve as expert officers.

Candidates can get the comprehensive list by downloading it by navigating to the downloads area of the website. Candidates have another option to locate the list of shortlisted applicants thanks to links KDF has supplied on their verified social media profiles.

The KDF has released the candidate list in addition to the interview times and places for those who were chosen. On September 25, 2023, tradespeople and women are instructed to report to Embakasi Garrison in Nairobi, with the processes starting punctually at 8 am. On the other hand, specialist officers are scheduled to appear for their interviews at the KMA in Lanet, Nakuru County, at the same time as planned.

All applicants are required to bring their original National Identity (ID) Card, four copies of their academic and professional transcripts, curriculum vitae, and any other pertinent references with them to the interview, according to KDF. Importantly, they have guaranteed candidates that they will be fed and housed during the interview process.

KDF has a provision in place even for those applicants who do not get a slot. Candidates that are rejected will receive reimbursement for their travel costs, according their policies. This kind act demonstrates KDF’s dedication to fairness and openness in the hiring process.
