KNEC Gives Update On Regulations For Test Registration In 2023
New guidelines have been released by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) for use in the ongoing registration of the KCSE, KCPE, and qualifying test examinations in 2023.
The KNEC instructed that all applicants’ names be submitted in the order that they appear on their birth certificates in a statement that was released on Monday, February 13, 2023.
When identifying the specific topics they desire to register for, they must also give the correct gender of the learners and their birth year.
According to their many categories, such as vision, hearing, or physical concerns, the candidate must also fill out this information if they have any special needs or disabilities.
The mandatory registration period for students began on February 1st, 2023, and ended on March 30th, 2023.
There won’t be any late registration for students taking the national exams, the Council has already stated.
Below is the notice that KNEC provided on the registration of candidates.

Schools have been allowed two months to finish enrolling students in the national exams.
