KNEC Payments for the KCPE and KCSE National Exams in 2022

The Kenya National Examinations Council, or KNEC, has announced the pay scales for the hired experts who monitored the 2022 KCSE and KCPE exams that were held in November and December of the previous year (2022).

According to the payment information provided by the Council, all primary school heads who worked as Center Managers for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams will receive a daily sustenance allowance of Sh500.

These professors will receive payment for a total of 4 days (including the rehearsal day) for the tests that were given between November and December 2022.

However, for a total of 18 days, all secondary school principals are required to receive a daily wage of Sh500.

In this case, the highest paid Supervisor will get a total of kSh12,510, while the highest paid invigilator would earn kSh9860.

Deputy Head Teachers and Principals have not received payment from KNEC, despite the fact that they will be present during test time as assistant Center Managers in every school.
Additionally excluded are teachers who monitor and prepare science topic practical tests for the KCSE exams.

In 2022, a total of 286 000 workers hired by Knec administered the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.
