The online for checking the 2024 KCSE exam is operational, according to the Kenya National Examination Council.

According to KNEC, up to 300,000 hits per second are being made to the portal, and candidates are currently receiving their results.

The Council also acknowledged that the large volume of requests submitted to the portal causes some small delays.

“Candidates are receiving their results, and the link for viewing the 2024 KCSE exam results is operational. The enormous volume of requests submitted to the portal—up to 300,000 hits per second—is the cause of the slight delays in feedback, KNEC stated in a statement on X.

“We urge Kenyans to be patient and assure them that everyone will be able to access their results.”

Although a similar difficulty was encountered at the time of the 2023 KCSE results release, the shift to an online gateway for accessing the secondary examination results was initially implemented.

It was a change from earlier times when Kenyans used Short Message Services (SMS) to receive results.

The public’s complaints about getting phony results prompted the move away from SMS.

On October 28, 965,501 applicants took the 2024 exam, which was administered at 10,755 testing locations nationwide.

The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) homepage crashed shortly after the results of the 2024 KCSE were released, disappointing parents and students who hurried to view them.
