KNEC Updated KCSE Exam Timetable for 2023

The updated schedule for the KCSE exam, which will be held in 2023, has been issued by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).

The exam for this year will start on October 23 and end on Friday, November 24, according to the schedule.

The testing organization has defined that from January 2023 to July 2023, candidates would work on projects related to a variety of topics, including art and design, agriculture, woodworking, metallurgy, building construction, and computer studies.

On Thursday, October 19, there will be an obligatory practice session for all applicants who have appointments to take the test.

The 2023 KCSE test will officially commence on Monday, November 6, when candidates will take the Chemistry and English (Functional Skills) exams.

The English (Comprehension, Literary Appreciation, and Grammar) and Mathematics (Alt-A) exams will be taken the following day.

They will take the chemistry exam on Wednesday, November 8, in the morning, and the English exam (creative composition and essays based on prescribed texts) in the afternoon.

The Chemistry (Practical) exam will be held the day after the Kiswahili (Lugha and Insha) exams on Thursday, November 9.

The tests for math (Alt-B) and kiswahili (Fasihi) will be given on Monday, November 13; the exams for biology and religious education will be given on Tuesday, November 14.

Candidates will take Paper 1 of History, Paper 2 of Government, as well as Paper 2 of Religious Education on November 15.

The examiners will administer the Biology PP2 and the History & Government tests on Thursday, November 16.

Exams in biology will be practical on Friday, November 17.

On Tuesday, November 21, the candidates will take Paper 1 in Business Studies in the morning and Paper 1 in Agriculture in the afternoon. On November 23, Paper 2 for both subjects will be given.

Paper 2 exams for geography and physics will be administered on Wednesday.

On Friday, November 24, the final paper of the 2023 KCSE exam, Physics (Practical), will be given.
