KUCCPS Communicates a Vital Message to KCSE Students in 2022

The deadlines for submitting applications and making course revisions for those aiming to take the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2022 are approaching.

Students must submit their applications through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) website, which launched on May 17, 2023.

Three tight weeks were allotted for students to submit their applications for studies at various universities.

CS instruction Ezekiel Machogu stressed the significance of opening the KUCCPS portal as soon as possible for student applications on May 3, 2023 during the University of Nairobi’s launch of the site.

Machogu commended KUCCPS for adhering to all requirements, including releasing details on all program costs.

Additionally, he assured them that the placement service would allocate each program’s eligible candidates.

Program Options and Support Services: According to CS Machogu, a stunning total of 173,127 people with grades of C+ or higher are eligible for degree programs.

If a student receives a C or lower, they will be admitted to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

Students with a C+ or better are not required to apply for courses in TVETs, but they are free to do so if they so wish.

Thanks to a collaboration between the Ministry of Education and the Huduma Secretariat that streamlines the application process, students can now apply for programs at any of the 52 Huduma centers.

Staff members at these facilities will assist students with the application process.

Furthermore, KUCCPS will send teams to specific universities to offer additional help.

Ability to Accept Students: CS Machogu confidently declared that the government was capable of accepting all deserving candidates.

This assertion highlights the government’s commitment to ensuring that every eligible applicant has the opportunity to pursue higher education.

By offering a range of tools and help services, the government tries to promote a smooth transition.
