KUCCPS Extends the Inter-University Transfer Window
The cutoff date for transfers between colleges and universities has been moved up to Friday, August 18, 2023. It was August 15, 2023 before. The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) made this modification.
The delay was necessary due to a technical issue with the KUCCPS M-Pesa Paybill option, according to a notice that was published by the placement agency on Monday, August 14.
“We’re currently having some issues with our M-Pesa payment option. We are working diligently to quickly restore our ability to process payments. We will provide a status update once the issue has been resolved. This was previously mentioned on social media by KUCCPS.
To submit an application, prospective candidates are strongly encouraged to use the KUCCPS student portal, which can be reached at http://students.kuccps.net. Prospective candidates who intend to submit their applications have access to this platform.
Each time an applicant submits their application, they must pay a processing fee of Sh 1,000.

The placement agency emphasizes that in order for a transfer to be granted, the applicant must have been initially assigned to the program from which they are now requesting a transfer. This is one of the prerequisites for transfer eligibility.
Additionally, the program to which the applicant wishes to transfer must have been active during the year in which the applicant was first placed.
Notably, “one will only be able to apply to transfer to a course whose minimum requirements one meets,”
Candidates for degree programs must achieve the necessary cut-off for their specific placement year. The warning provides a thorough outline.
Additionally, a candidate is only permitted to request a transfer to one of the offered programs during the program, and this move is only permitted once.
The applicant can visit the Programmes area to explore a list of potential programs and their prerequisites and can visit the Institutions part to look at courses that are organized by institution.
