Massive Job Openings and Internships Announced by KAA; Application Process
The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has announced a large number of job opportunities in a variety of divisions.
In a notice released on Tuesday, August 8, the Authority is promoting both permanent and pensionable jobs, as well as contract work and internship opportunities.
KAA has created a one (1) year internship/apprenticeship program in order to promote the employability of degree or diploma holders entering the workforce by establishing a clear relationship between education, training, and job. It was noted the Authority.
The positions that are open are as follows:
Manager, Airport Operations (2) Manager, Birds & Wildlife Control (1) Corporation Secretary/Chief Legal Officer (1) General Manager, Procurement & Logistics (1) General Manager, Marketing & Business Development (1)
Manager, Procurement & Logistics (2) Manager, Performance Management & Change (1) Manager, Training & Development (1) Manager, Pensions (1) Chief Fire Services Officer
Airport Accountant (1) Airport Engineer (1) Airport Engineer (1) Mechanical Engineer (2) Land Surveyor (1)
Malindi Airport Manager (1) Firefighter (75)
Controller for apron (30)
Security Guard (87), Bird Scout (21)
Program for internships or apprenticeships (50)
The contracts for the general manager and corporation secretary/chief legal officer will be for a period of three (3) years, with an option for an extension based on performance reviews or upon attaining mandatory retirement age, whichever comes first.

There will be a twelve-month internship program available.
All other posts shall be filled on a permanent basis with pensionable benefits in accordance with the standards set forth in the Authority’s Human Resource Policy and Procedures Manual.
The areas where interns would be stationed include Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Headquarters (HQS), Wilson Airport (WAP), and Kisumu International Airport (KIA).

Candidates who meet the requirements should send their application letters in word document (.doc/.docx) format to recruitment@kaa.go.ke or in hard copy to the address below, along with certified copies of all required certificates and testimonials, a resume/curriculum vitae, copy of national identity card, valid certificate of good conduct, daytime phone contact, email address, and names of three (3) referees who can attest to their competence, character, and an ability to work under pressure.
