Ministry of Education Reschedules Midterm To Run From June 27 To July 1
22 June, NAIROBI, Kenya – Due to the intended dates clashing with the national conference for secondary school heads, the Ministry of Education has prolonged the country’s midterm vacation for students.
Belio Kipsang, the principal secretary for basic education, has announced that the new dates would begin on June 27 and go through July 1.
In a letter to Kenya Secondary School Heads Association chairman Indimuli Kahi, he said, “The ministry recognizes the National KESSHA conference as an important event that allows school managers to make a review and share experiences running of schools.”
All countrywide school administrators were then told by letter to pay attention to and follow the new dates.
According to the 2023 academic calendar, students were supposed to be freed from school this week in preparation for their half-term holidays.
