Recruitment of Post-Primary PnP Teachers: TSC, BOM Checklist

To speed up the employment of secondary school teachers, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has released the Board of Management (BOM) and TSC checklist.

In order to confirm that candidates meet the necessary educational criteria, applicants are asked to present documentation of their qualifications during interviews, including academic and professional certificates.

Successful candidates are required to submit particular documents to the Selection Panel Secretary for verification after the initial application assessment since these documents are essential for validating qualifications and preparing candidates for their teaching jobs.

The necessary paperwork consists of:

  1. National Identity Card: This document serves to verify the applicant’s identity.
  2. NCPWD Card (if applicable): To confirm a person’s disability.
  3. Two color pictures the size of a passport are required for official records.
  4. Credentials and Certificates: These may include KCPE, KCSE, “A” Level, Diplomas, Degrees, and other pertinent credentials.
  5. Letter of Certification of Results from KNEC (if applicable): The Kenya National Examinations Council certifies your academic results in writing.
  6. Official Academic Transcripts: Giving a thorough account of academic performance.
  7. Certificate of Registration as a Teacher (TSC Certificate): Documentation that a teacher is registered and certified.
  8. KRA PIN Certificate: Providing proof of adherence to tax laws.
  9. Front face of a bank plate or card: This helps with wage payments.
  10. Properly Completed Pay Point Particulars’ Form: Ensuring appropriate pay distribution.
  11. NHIF Card: Affirming eligibility for healthcare benefits.
  12. Primary and secondary school diplomas and other testimonials: Recording academic background.
  13. Original Medical Examination Report in Form GP 69: Attesting to the applicant’s physical eligibility to serve as a teacher.
  14. Acknowledgement of Receipt of Recruitment Documents: Declaring that important recruitment documents have been received.
