SENIOR INTERNS HAVE A REASON TO SMILE AFTER TSC DISCLAIMS THIS.
Following a recent declaration by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), there is new optimism for senior interns. The TSC is tasked by the Kenyan constitution with important duties in the field of education, and it is essential in managing numerous facets of the country’s teaching industry.
This includes tasks like scheduling, hiring, promoting, managing rotations, and paying salaries on schedule for teachers.
The TSC leaders have been tirelessly working to obtain increased money to address the worsening teacher shortage and to expand career possibilities in the teaching profession. As a sign of their passion and effort, they are also fighting for higher primary and secondary school teachers’ pay in Kenya.
The legal certification of all teachers who started their careers as trainees as permanent pensionable employees as of 2019 is a positive step for Kenyan teachers. This important step significantly improves the financial security and job security of these committed educators.
