TSC LATEST PROMOTION INTERVIEW QUESTIONS AND MARKING SCHEME
PROMOTION QUESTIONS FOR TSC 2023. A new scoring system for promotion interviews has been established by the Teachers Service Commission, or TSC.
Giving the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results more weight, with teachers getting a maximum of 20 marks if their mean score is 11 or higher.
TSC PROMOTION 2023 QUESTIONS
The marking formula covers a range of topics for promotion interviews:
- Educational and Professional Experience:
- 5 marks for master’s degree or higher
- 4 marks for a bachelor’s degree or higher diploma
- Graduation: 3 points
- Professional Course/Diploma in Management: 5 marks
- Professional/Management Certificate: 4 marks
- 3 points for Relevant Workshops/Seminars
- Technical Subjects:
- Three points for understanding TSC structure, operation, and policies.
- 4 marks for understanding the Code of Regulations for Teachers and the Code of Conduct and Ethics.
- Development, implementation, and assessment of the curriculum: 10 points
- 5 marks for comprehending educational policies, stakeholders’ roles, and educational trends.
- Leadership and management abilities:
- Responsibilities: 3 to 4 marks, depending
- Institutional Management and Administration: 10 points -10 points for institutional financial management
- Based on mean score, ranging from 1 to 20 marks, performance during the previous three years.
- The Improvement Index is calculated on a scale of 1.70 to 2 and above, with points ranging from 1 to 20.
- Performance in Co-Curricular Activities: Scored from 1 to 5 marks depending on amount of participation in extracurricular activities.
- Five points for “general knowledge and current affairs.”
It is crucial to confirm the accuracy of the analysis with the head instructors. The score should be calculated using the topic mean score or improvement index from the current or prior station, whichever is higher.
