TSC teachers in the following grades will benefit more with the proposed salary increase

Teachers would see wage increases based on their grades or work groups, under a direction from Kenya’s excellent president William Ruto on compensation increases of 7 to 10%.

This is also supported by the most recent statement made by Mengich, the head of the wages and pay Commission, who stated that the requested salary increases would be put into effect by the end of this month.

Since the raise is intended to strike a balance between the highest earning and the lowest, the Teachers Service Commission claims that it will primarily help the lower grades. As seen below, the grades listed below will benefit the most.

Teachers in grade D2 who are now making Sh.91,041 per month are required to earn a minimum of Sh97,414 for a 7 percent rise, and a maximum of Sh120,174 for a 10 percent increase.

Additionally, see TSC Job Grade C2 Salary and Allowances 2023/2024.

Teachers in grade D1 should see wage increases between Sh77,840 and Sh83,289 for a 7% increase and between Sh93,408 and Sh102,749 for a 10% increase. In the event of a 10% increase, teachers in grade C5 will see their base pay increase from Sh62,272 to a minimum of Sh66,631 and from their present base compensation of Sh77,840 to a maximum of Sh86,625.

In a similar manner, teachers in grade C4 are anticipated to move from their present salaries of Sh52,308 to a maximum of Sh55,970 for a 7 percent increase and from their existing salaries of Sh65,385 to a maximum of Sh71,924 for a 10 percent increase.

People in grade C3 will see wage increases of 7 percent, from Sh43,154 to a minimum of Sh46,175; and 10 percent, from Sh53,943 to Sh59,337. Teachers in grade C2 who make a basic wage of Sh34,955 are to receive a minimum of Sh37,402 and a maximum of Sh48,064, according to Tsc, which is run by its boss Nancy Macharia.

Pay increases for teachers in C1 are anticipated to range from a minimum of Sh29,099 for a 7 percent increase to a high of Sh37,393 for a 10 percent increase.
