A secondary school teacher in grade C1 is designated as a Secondary Teacher III by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) ( job group J).

It’s important to remember that secondary school instructors with a Diploma in Education can begin teaching in Grade C1.

This category of jobs has five rungs. In each of the five tiers, the commuter and housing allowances are equal.

Base pay varies depending on the rank. The base wage for a teacher in the first rank is kshs. 27,195, while that of a teacher in the sixth notch is kshs. 33,994.
