Equity Foundation’s Wings To Fly Scholarship Benefits KCPE Candidates
The Equity Group Foundation’s Wings to Fly scholarship program awarded grants to twenty-four (24) Form One students from Kitui County.
Augustine Wambua Kanani, the deputy governor of Kitui County, formally led the 24 students—12 males and 12 girls—out of the building. At Pangani Girls High School in Nairobi County, they will participate in a three-day induction program with their classmates from throughout the country.
In a speech at Kitui Township Africa Inland Church, Equity Bank Kitui Branch Manager Francis Mbindyo commended the honorees and advised them to take their education seriously for the sake of their future.
Deputy Governor Kanani praised Equity Bank for supporting the education of its workers’ children.
Equity Bank has given you a tremendously strong foundation. In addition, he continued, it will provide you the opportunity to work with them after your studies are through.
Among those present were Kennedy Katua, chair of the Kitui Scholarship Selection Board, Boniface Mbuvi, deputy director of the Kitui County Children’s Department, Jacinta Mwinzi, and Aggrey K. Nzomo, chair of the Kitui County National Youth Council (NYC).
