Additionally, candidates were advised by KNEC not to bring any books, notes, documents, or materials into the exam room unless they had been specifically approved by KNEC.

Any misbehavior or commotion close to the exam room was viewed as an abnormality.

the new KCSE 2023 Guidelines
The results for the entire topic would be annulled for candidates who committed irregularities in any paper, and they would receive a “Y” overall.

Results for the entire test center would be canceled by KNEC if significant irregularities were discovered in any examination center.

To preserve the integrity of the exam process and guard against any misconduct that might have an impact on the applicants’ future, these strict procedures were put in place.

To prevent unfavorable results, candidates were required to follow the rules, appear early, and behave responsibly throughout the exam.

Misconduct or irregularities could result in cancelation, which would affect their chances for future employment.

Candidates were therefore exhorted to take the KCSE seriously and aim for high marks.
