KCSE EXAM REHEARSALS BEGIN TODAY, THURSDAY. THESE ARE DOS AND DON’T DURING EXAMS

2023 Knec rehearsals2023 Knec rehearsals.Thursday, October 19, is the first day of practice for the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, according to the Kenya National Examinations Council.

This is in line with ongoing efforts to prepare Form 4 candidates for their upcoming national exams, which will be held from October 23 to November 24.

According to a statement issued by Knec on Wednesday, the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and

On Friday, October 27, the Kenya Primary School Examinations Association (KPSEA) will take place.
The KCPE and KPSEA tests themselves are scheduled to start on Monday, October 30, and end on Wednesday, November 1.

1,700 policemen will be sent out by Knec to supervise the taking of these tests.

These officials will come from a variety of institutions in the educational sector in addition to Knec.

It is significant that the 8-4-4 educational system in primary schools will come to an end with the 2023 KCPE exams.

With a record-breaking number of KCPE applicants in the nation, nearly 3.5 million candidates will be sitting national exams this year.

While 1.4 million people have signed up to take the KCPE examinations, little under a million people will be taking the KCSE exams.

Furthermore, 1.2 million students have registered to take the first KPSEA exams.

On Monday and Tuesday, at a briefing for the monitoring officers held at the Knec headquarters in the New Mitihani House,

Principal Secretary for Basic Education Belio Kipsang urged the personnel to retain their commitment and professionalism.

This will guarantee that the assessments and exams are conducted in an effective and efficient manner.

He also praised Knec for its work, especially in the year before when it successfully switched from conducting two annual exams to a record-breaking five as the nation stabilized the academic calendar following the Covid-19 upheavals.

Principal Secretaries from the Ministry of Education, as well as the Knec Council and Executive Management, attended this briefing.
