KNEC Releases Vacancies For Teachers Preparing Assessments
The opening of test setters and moderators for national examinations within the examination body has been announced by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
The Council’s test development team will grow as a result of the stated hiring initiative.
The Examiner had stated in a public announcement released on January 23 that their newest recruitment campaign would target lecturers.
The advertisement states that the council is looking to train, accredit, and hire professors, tutors, and teachers to work on the creation of testing and assessment materials for schools and teacher education.
The Council has established criteria that candidates must meet in order to be considered for the advertised posts.
Candidates must be familiar with the curriculum designs of the disciplines for which they are applying.
Additionally, candidates must have at least three years of teaching experience.
The candidates must also have registered with the Teachers Service Commission and submitted an application there (TSC).
Additionally, applicants must possess a police certificate of good conduct.
The application process for the advertised positions will be done online. Interested candidates must send an email to the council at td@knec.ac.ke along with scanned copies of their academic and professional credentials, letters of recommendation from the heads of their institutions, and other supporting materials.
The KNEC website has information regarding the application procedure.
Contract professionals who are currently members of the Commission are exempt from the application process.
The deadline for applications from interested parties is March 1st, 2023.
