On Tuesday, June 27, students in elementary and secondary schools all around the nation will start their term-to-midterm vacation.
The original date was June 29, however the dates were changed in response to a request from the Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA).
Principal Secretary of Education Belio Kipsang revised the dates in response to a letter from KESSHA chair Indimuli Kahi, stating that the break will start on Tuesday, June 27, and end on July 1, 2023.
All school administrators must pay attention to and follow the change dates, according to Kipsang.
Indimuli had asked for the change, claiming that the dates of the previous midterms clashed with the KESSHA’s 46th National Conference.
The National KESSHA Conference is a significant occasion that enables school administrators to reflect on and exchange experiences in managing schools, according to Kipsang. “The Ministry recognizes this,” he added.
