Vacancies for TSC Teacher Promotions at SNE Secondary Schools

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is in charge of regulating Kenya’s educational standards, per Article 237 (1) of the Constitution.

The Commission is soliciting applications from teachers who specialize in Special Needs Education (SNE) for Secondary Schools in order to achieve this goal. The following lists the open positions in accordance with the Career Progression Guidelines for Teachers.

Candidates for this grade should satisfy the requirements listed below:

  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a principal or deputy principal in T-Scale 13 are required.
  • Performance: The performance evaluation process must have given the candidate a satisfactory rating.
  • Leadership: Must have a track record of managing, coaching, and assisting other teachers professionally.
  • Constitutional Compliance: Must adhere to Chapter 6 of the Constitution’s requirements.
  • Extra Requirements: Must satisfy any additional requirements that the Commission deems necessary.

Candidates with SNE credentials who attended conventional schools are strongly encouraged to apply.

Criteria for Appointment

Candidates seeking this grade should meet the requirements listed below:

  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience as Senior Master II/Deputy Principal III, T-Scale 11, is required.
  • Performance: The performance evaluation process must have given the candidate a satisfactory rating.
  • Leadership: Must have a track record of managing, advising, and assisting other teachers professionally.
  • Constitutional Compliance: Must adhere to the guidelines set forth in Article VI, Chapter 6.
  • Extra Requirements: Must satisfy any additional requirements that the Commission deems necessary.

Note: SNE-certified applicants from ordinary schools are strongly encouraged to apply.

Criteria for Appointment

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements in order to be considered for appointment to this grade:

  • Experience: Must have worked for a minimum of two (2) years as a Secondary School Teacher II, T-Scale 7.

Performance: The performance review procedure must have given the employee a satisfactory rating.

  • Extra Requirements: Must satisfy any additional requirements that the Commission deems necessary.

Note: SNE-certified applicants from ordinary schools are strongly encouraged to apply.

Criteria for Appointment

Candidates seeking appointment to this grade should satisfy the requirements listed below:

  • Experience: Must have worked for a minimum of two (2) years as Deputy Principal II/Senior Master I, T-Scale 12.

Performance: The performance review procedure must have given the applicant a satisfactory rating.

  • Leadership: Must have a track record of managing, coaching, and assisting other teachers professionally.
  • Constitutional Compliance: Must adhere to the guidelines outlined in Article VI, Chapter 6.
  • Extra Requirements: Must satisfy any additional requirements that the Commission deems necessary.

Application Process for TSC Teacher Promotional Positions at SNE Secondary Schools

It is recommended that qualified applicants submit their applications online through the TSC site at www.teachersonline.go.ke. Applications must be received by September 8th, 2023, at the latest. Please be aware that the selection procedure will not take manual applications into account.
