KUCCPS Extends the TTC Courses Application Deadline
The application deadline for courses leading to a diploma in teacher training will now remain open until Saturday, July 22, according to the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).
The new deadline for applications to Teacher Training Colleges (TTC) courses has been set as July 28 to August 4, 2023, according to a statement released by KUCCPS.
Candidates must have received a minimum mean grade of C (plain) on the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam in order to be eligible for these courses.
Agnes Wahome, the head of KUCCPS, made it clear that candidates with KCSE certificates, including non-Kenyans who took the exam in 2022 or before, going back to the year 2000, are eligible for the positions.

Particularly, there are 11,358 spots open in the DPTE program and 2,081 open admittance slots in the DECTE course.
The KUCCPS student site now allows applicants to apply for KMTC courses. On August 4, 2023, the application for the September 2023 intake will expire. Disseminate the word.
Part of Wahome’s announcement read, “The application targets people who passed the KCSE exam between the years 2013 and 2022.”
Applicants must have earned a mean grade of C on the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with particular grades in a set of disciplines in order to be admitted to a diploma program at KMTC.
A C in biology, a C- in chemistry, and a minimum grade of C in English or Kiswahili are needed to pass the basic prerequisites. Candidates also need to have earned a C- in either physical sciences, physics, or math.

Use your KCSE index number, KCSE year, and password to log in at students.kuccps.net if you’re interested in applying.
Once on the placement portal, they must choose between the DPTE and DECTE application by clicking on the Teacher Training Colleges (TTC) programs option. The list of 32 accredited training institutions with their corresponding program codes and first-year expenses will next emerge.
Only the pertinent code must be supplied by applicants during the application procedure. They can click “Apply Now” after choosing their preferred program to finish the application.
