TSC teachers pay scales, updated, 2023/2025
The Teachers Service Commission, or TSC, has finished implementing the last clause of the CBA. The pay of teachers has increased. As a Chief Principal in Grade 5, the highest-paid teacher now receives Sh157,656 per month.
Senior principals in this grade are paid Sh121,890 per month, whereas grade D3 principals are currently paid Sh104,644 per month.
Similar compensation is received by Deputy Principals II T-Scale 12 (D2). Between Sh77,840 and Sh85,269 is the salary range for Deputy Principals III T-Scale 11 (D1).
Teachers who are Senior Masters IV, Scale 9 (C4) earn $52,308. Additionally, they get a monthly home allowance, an annual leave allowance, and a commuting payment of up to Sh8,000 per month (up to Sh28,000).
